The FAO and OIE have collaborated to produce an excellent poster to support veterinarians with the message “You can stop ASF spread!”
Although African swine fever (ASF) does not pose a direct risk to human health it can lead to serious socio-economic impacts for the pig farming sector and, potentially, for food supply. It is a severe threat to pigs’ health and welfare and there is no effective vaccine or treatment against it.
As veterinarians, we have a crucial role in protecting pigs production from this devastating disease.
