EASVO Vice President Jean-Pierre Orand participated in the FVE/UEVP Medicines Working Group meeting on 30 March for its final session of the current term. Under the excellent chairwomanship of Jobke van Hout (NL), the group discussed the significant development concerning the interpretation of Article 106.1 of the Veterinary Medicines Regulation, with further discussions scheduled for April, while the EU‑funded ADRA project and SPC harmonisation continue. Members highlighted the need for interim support and guidance to ensure responsible antimicrobial use. Other topics were the use of herbal and “natural” productsmedicated feed for companion animals, the work within the VetMed+ coalition and veterinary pharmacovigilance with the second joint EMA/FVE Veterinary Safety Day upcoming on 8th April.
