EASVO President Mark McCarthy joined remotely the FVE Board on May 21st, 2025 focusing on strategic planning and key veterinary policy issues for the upcoming General Assembly, including veterinary medicines (e.g., SPC discussions), veterinary mental well-being, veterinary public health and animal welfare. A FVE statement on a phase-out of fur farming in Europe was agreed for member consultation. Mark McCarthy, alongside EVERI, UEVP, UEVH Section representatives, joined the afternoon session to discuss shared topics, including the positions on raw meat diets for cats and dogs, and meat and bone meat and processed animal protein. The planning for the FVE 50th Anniversary continues, and will culminate in a celebratory conference on December 4th in Brussels – save the date!
